SG3d Demo Package

If you have a Silicon Graphics workstation and would like to download a complete working demo copy of SG3d with a sample dataset, download this tar file (1,538 Kbytes). Type the name DEMO.tar.Z (or just DEMO.tar if your browser automatically uncompresses) in the file selection box when prompted. Uncompress if necessary.

Untar the file with: tar -xvpf DEMO.tar

I have only tested the demo on a few SGI platforms, so if you have trouble installing or using the demo, or have comments or suggestions, please let me know: brown@gis.uiuc.edu.

Disclaimer: This SG3d program module was compiled to run without installing GRASS; in order to use SG3d effectively with your own data, you should install and learn to use GRASS. GRASS is a powerful Geographic Information System that allows researchers to use a variety of statistical and spatial analysis techniques to evaluate their data. SG3d helps in this evaluation by providing an easy to use display mechanism to view 2D data as a surface in 3D space. For more information on how to obtain the GRASS GIS software, see GRASS Information.
